Minnesota Vikings safety Jamal Adams will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in Saturday's preseason win over the New York Giants, the team announced.
How did the injury happen?
Adams stumbled in pass coverage early in the second quarter, fell and grabbed his right knee before being carted to the locker room. He had played just 11 snaps at the time. The Vikings were still awaiting further imaging to determine the exact structural diagnosis.

"We're going to miss him," coach Kevin O'Connell said, adding that he was "crushed" for Adams. The injury is a significant blow to Minnesota's secondary depth as the team heads toward the regular season.
