Alex Forsyth has spent his career as the guy Denver trusts to step in when the starting center goes down. He has never been the flashiest name on the Broncos' roster, but four years in the building have made him one of its most dependable interior linemen.
Path to the league
Forsyth started 28 of 39 games at Oregon, working across center, left guard, right guard and right tackle, and rated as one of the best pass-blocking centers in the country as a senior, earning second-team All-America honors. Denver selected him in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, No. 257 overall, after trading up with the New Orleans Saints.
Career highlights
Forsyth spent his rookie year on the practice squad before winning the backup center job in 2024. He has appeared in every game the last two seasons and has been called on repeatedly to fill in when Denver's starting center has missed time, building a reputation as steady insurance up front.
2025 season recap
Forsyth made his first start of 2025 at Kansas City after starter Luke Wattenberg landed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, helping the Broncos to a 20-13 win at Arrowhead and earning a game ball. He went on to start six games in 2025, including closing out the regular season and opening the playoffs at center.
