Ballhawking Syracuse safety who anchors the Jets secondary after four years in Jacksonville.
Andre Cisco is a safety for the New York Jets who signed in 2025 and re-signed in March 2026. A former Jacksonville third-round pick out of Syracuse, he was a college interception machine before settling in as an NFL starter. A pectoral injury cut his first Jets season short.
Path to the league
Cisco started 11 of 13 games as a Syracuse freshman in 2018, tying for the national lead with seven interceptions and earning ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year and freshman All-American honors. The Jaguars drafted him 65th overall in 2021. He took over as a full-time starter in 2022 and made 34 starts over his last three Jacksonville seasons.
Career highlights
Across four Jaguars seasons Cisco logged 229 total tackles, eight interceptions and 24 passes defensed, per his Wikipedia profile. One of those picks, a Jalen Hurts theft in 2022, he returned 59 yards for a touchdown at Philadelphia.
2025 season
Cisco signed a one-year, $8.5 million deal with the Jets in March 2025. He started all eight games he played, posting 41 tackles, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery before a season-ending pectoral tear in a Week 8 win over Cincinnati, which head coach Aaron Glenn announced on November 3. The Jets re-signed him in March 2026.
