Garret Wallow is a linebacker who has bounced between four organizations since entering the league in 2021, missing all of 2024 with an injury before resurfacing with Denver and then San Francisco in 2025. His special-teams versatility and steady tackling have kept him on NFL rosters through a winding career path.
Path to the league
Wallow starred at TCU from 2017 to 2020, appearing in 48 games and recording 293 tackles, 9.5 sacks, five passes defensed, three forced fumbles and an interception. The Houston Texans drafted him in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Wallow spent his first two and a half seasons with Houston before a late-2023 move to the Tennessee Titans. He missed the entire 2024 season due to injury before catching on with the Denver Broncos in 2025. Across his career with Houston, Tennessee and Denver, he has appeared in 42 games with 11 special-teams tackles.

After beginning 2025 with Denver, Wallow was claimed off waivers by the San Francisco 49ers on December 8, 2025. He went on to start two playoff games for San Francisco that postseason and re-signed with the team for the following year.
