Harrison Butker has turned a seventh-round pick into a decade-long run as one of the league's premier clutch kickers. His resume includes three Super Bowl rings, multiple postseason scoring records and a career field goal percentage among the best ever recorded.
Path to the league
Butker kicked for Georgia Tech from 2013 through 2016 and remains the program's all-time leading scorer with 337 career points. The Carolina Panthers selected him in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he later joined the Kansas City Chiefs, where he has spent the bulk of his career.
Career highlights
Butker led the NFL in scoring in 2019 and has won three Super Bowls with Kansas City. He owns an 88.4 percent career field goal conversion rate, the fourth-highest mark in NFL history. In Super Bowl LVIII, he set the record for the longest made field goal in Super Bowl history at 57 yards and became the all-time leader in career Super Bowl field goals made, and he hit the game-winning kick in Super Bowl LVII against Philadelphia.
2025 season recap
Butker made 33 of 38 field goal attempts in 2025, an 87 percent clip that matched the second-highest attempt total of his career, while converting 31 of 35 extra points. He remained the Chiefs' full-time kicker throughout the season and is under contract with Kansas City for two more years.
