Jon Rhattigan's story is one of the league's more improbable journeys, going from barely playing as an underclassman at Army to breaking out as a senior All-American and sticking in the NFL as an undrafted free agent. Path to the league

Rhattigan barely played in his first two seasons at Army before an unexpected breakout senior year, when he racked up a career-high 78 tackles and two interceptions and became the program's first-ever Bednarik Award semifinalist. He went undrafted in 2021 and signed with the Seattle Seahawks, making their 53-man roster out of training camp.

Career highlights

Rhattigan became one of Seattle's most trusted special-teams players across his first three NFL seasons, logging significant coverage snaps on kickoffs and punts. He also earned occasional defensive snaps as a backup linebacker, including behind Bobby Wagner, and has continued that special-teams role across several subsequent NFL stops.

2025 season recap

Rhattigan began 2025 on Pittsburgh's practice squad before signing with the Las Vegas Raiders' active roster ahead of Week 6. He appeared in 12 games for Las Vegas, recording six special-teams tackles in his familiar role as a core coverage contributor.
