Ryan Wright signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane in 2022 and immediately became their starting punter, holding the job for four seasons. The 6-foot-4 Louisiana native later agreed to a four-year, $14 million deal to punt for the Saints, bringing him back to his college city.

Wright was a four-year letterman at Tulane (2018-21), punting 200 times for 8,909 yards with a 44.5 gross average and a long of 69 yards, downing 59 punts inside the 20. Minnesota signed him as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft.
