Spencer Shrader took a winding road to the Colts, transferring from South Florida to Notre Dame before going unselected in the 2024 draft. He found a home in Indianapolis and by the start of the 2025 season looked like one of the most reliable legs in the league, until a knee injury derailed his year.
Path to the league
Shrader began his college career at South Florida, converting 28 of 41 field goal attempts, before transferring to Notre Dame for the 2023 season. He went undrafted in 2024 and signed with the Colts, bouncing between Indianapolis, Kansas City and the New York Jets during his rookie year before settling in as the Colts' kicker.
