A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts greeted each other warmly and spoke privately on the practice field in Foxborough after Thursday's Patriots-Eagles joint session, their first interaction since Brown's June trade to New England.

"Honestly guys, none of that stuff even matters, man... It's love my way," Brown said. Hurts added, "I've got a lot of love for him and always have."
What led to the trade?
Friction had built between the two over Brown's role and target share in Philadelphia's offense against zone coverage, which he vented about publicly. Brown posted a career-low 1,003 receiving yards in 2025 before requesting a trade. Despite the on-field tension, the two remain close off the field, with Hurts reportedly the godfather to Brown's daughter.
