CBS Sports president David Berson said Tuesday there's no timetable for deciding Tony Romo's future with the network following his arrest on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence. "It's an evolving situation and we are still assessing," Berson said. "There is no timetable or final decision at this time."

Romo faces three citations from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office stemming from a July 23 traffic stop after he was seen passing cars in a gore area. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, was booked and released, and an open container of alcohol was found in his vehicle. He was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence and for refusing a chemical sobriety test. His court appearance is scheduled for September 21.

Berson said the network is weighing the situation carefully: "We have to consider the impact on our image and our brand," he said, adding, "The focus should be and needs to be on our presentation and this great product and not on any others." Romo remains on leave from the network until further notice. J.J. Watt has been elevated to the No. 1 broadcast booth alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson, with Ross Tucker moving into the No. 2 booth. Berson noted, "we have a deep bench and everybody is stepping up."
