Jets' Breece Hall Week-to-Week With Quad Injury, Unlikely to Play at Chicago
An MRI showed no long-term damage after Hall was hurt in the fourth quarter at Detroit. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis take over a run game that has gained 67 and 58 yards the past two weeks.
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is week-to-week with a right quadriceps injury and is unlikely to play Sunday at Chicago, sources told ESPN. An MRI found no long-term damage.
How did it happen?
On his 13th carry of Sunday's 31-24 loss at Detroit, in the fourth quarter. Hall said he "felt something when I was running and then got tackled and planted and then felt something else." He signed a three-year, $43.5 million extension in the offseason and missed three weeks of camp with a groin strain.
What does it mean for the offense?
Third-year backs Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis will carry the load for a team that is 1-2 and has rushed for 67 and 58 yards in its two losses. "That is one area that we have to fix," coach Aaron Glenn said of the run game, citing the "urgency in trying to make sure that we get that done."
