New York Jets owner Woody Johnson acquired a minority stake in the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 team and will become vice chairman of the board, the team announced. The size of the stake wasn't disclosed.

"During my time as U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, I have developed a deep appreciation for Aston Martin's rich history," Johnson said. His role will focus on commercial growth, particularly in the U.S. market, rather than day-to-day team operations.

Johnson, 79, bought the Jets for $635 million in 2000 and took a 43% stake in Crystal Palace FC in 2025 for roughly $254 million.
