AJ Finley built his reputation at Ole Miss as a hard-hitting, ball-hawking safety before going undrafted and bouncing from the Chargers to Seattle via a waiver claim. A significant injury cost him the entire 2025 season, but the Seahawks brought him back afterward.
Path to the league
Finley played four seasons at Ole Miss from 2019 to 2022, finishing with 244 tackles, 8.5 for a loss, eight interceptions, 13 pass deflections, and four fumble recoveries, earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2021 and helping the Rebels reach the Sugar Bowl. He went undrafted in 2023 and signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Career highlights
Finley appeared in 22 games for the Chargers, working primarily on special teams, before being waived in November 2024. The Seattle Seahawks claimed him off waivers on November 26, 2024, giving him a new opportunity in Seattle's secondary.
2025 season recap
