A well-traveled undrafted cornerback who already has a Super Bowl ring from his rookie year in Philadelphia.
A.J. Woods has bounced from Washington to Philadelphia to Denver and now Atlanta since going undrafted out of Pittsburgh in 2024, picking up a Super Bowl LIX championship ring along the way even though he never played a regular-season snap for the Eagles. He is now fighting for a roster spot with the Falcons.
Path to the league
Woods played five seasons at Pittsburgh after starting his career committed to James Madison, then flipping to the Panthers. He earned an East-West Shrine Bowl invite as a senior before going undrafted in 2024 and signing with the Washington Commanders.
Career highlights
Over 59 games at Pitt, Woods recorded 70 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions and 25 pass breakups. He spent his rookie season on Philadelphia's practice squad and shared in the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX win over the Chiefs without appearing in a regular-season game.
2025 season recap
Woods was waived by the Eagles in August 2025 roster cuts, picked up by the Denver Broncos practice squad in September, then released in October. Atlanta added him to its practice squad later that month and signed him to a reserve/future contract in January 2026.
