Al'zillion Hamilton spent three years starting at cornerback for Fresno State, twice testing the transfer portal before deciding to stay and finish what he started. Hamilton, a 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback out of Hayward, California, became a three-year starter for the Bulldogs despite entering the transfer portal on two separate occasions. He ultimately stuck with Fresno State through his college career rather than leaving, and went undrafted before signing with the Rams as a free agent in May 2026.

Hamilton was named to the preseason watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award, one of only three Mountain West defensive backs on the list and the first Fresno State player to make it since safety Evan Williams in 2022. 2025 season recap
Hamilton started all 13 games for Fresno State in 2025 and posted a career-high four interceptions to go with 38 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups and a quarterback hurry. His four picks tied for second in the Mountain West, and he earned Second Team All-Mountain West recognition for his senior season before signing with the Rams.
