Andrew Beck is the kind of player fans rarely notice until he springs a kickoff return or catches a short-yardage touchdown, which is exactly the job description for an NFL fullback in 2026. He has quietly stuck around the league since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2019, valued for special teams work as much as anything he does at fullback.
Path to the league
Beck played tight end and H-back at Texas for five seasons, missing a year to a foot injury that required a medical redshirt. As a redshirt senior in 2018 he caught 28 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns and earned first-team All-Big 12 honors. He went unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft and signed with the New England Patriots as the highest-paid undrafted free agent on their roster that year.
Career highlights
After being waived by New England, Beck was claimed by the Denver Broncos, where he spent four seasons as their fullback, appearing in 51 games. He later played for the Houston Texans before landing in his current spot. For his career he has totaled 31 catches for 259 yards and five receiving touchdowns, and he won the 2021 Salute to Service award. A career highlight came in 2023 when he returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown against Jacksonville.
