Andrew DePaola went from Rutgers walk-on to bartender to one of the most decorated long snappers the league has seen. His run of Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors with the Vikings is unmatched at his position.
Path to the league
DePaola played quarterback and then wide receiver at Rutgers before taking over long-snapping duties when the team's regular snapper was injured. He went undrafted in 2012 and did not make his NFL debut until 2014, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Career highlights
DePaola has played for the Buccaneers, Bears, Raiders, Panthers and, since 2020, the Vikings. He is the only long snapper in NFL history to earn three consecutive Pro Bowl selections (2022-2024) and has twice been named First-team All-Pro (2022, 2024) and twice Second-team All-Pro (2023, 2025).
2025 season recap
DePaola earned Second-team All-Pro honors again in 2025, extending his streak of elite recognition at the position, and the Vikings re-signed him to continue anchoring their special teams unit.
