An undrafted UTEP center who beat the odds to make Miami's roster as a rookie before an injury wiped out most of his 2025 season.
Andrew Meyer was one of the more surprising names on Miami's initial 53-man roster in 2024, an undrafted center out of UTEP who outworked more heralded names in camp. He has since battled through injury while developing as depth behind the Dolphins' starting offensive line.
Path to the league
Meyer was a five-year starter at UTEP, appearing in 31 games at center, including all eight games of the 2020 season, when he earned honorable mention All-Conference USA recognition and a spot on the Rimington Award watch list. He went unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft and signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.

Meyer's biggest achievement to date was simply making Miami's 53-man roster as a rookie, a result widely regarded as one of the surprises of the Dolphins' initial cuts that year. 2025 season recap
Meyer's second season was derailed by injury. He was placed on injured reserve in late August 2025 with a triceps injury and did not return to the active roster until being activated in late December ahead of Miami's Week 17 game. He finished the year with just 56 offensive snaps.
