A former USC All-American guard whose NFL career began with a torn ACL at the combine and has since become a full-time starter for Baltimore.
Andrew Vorhees' draft stock cratered after he tore his ACL during combine testing, but the Ravens took a seventh-round flier on him anyway. He has since worked his way into the starting lineup, though a rough 2025 season and Baltimore's free-agent additions have put his hold on the job in question.
Path to the league
Vorhees was a first-team All-American guard at USC and a projected fourth-round pick before tearing his ACL at the NFL Scouting Combine. Even with the injury, the Ravens selected him in the seventh round (No. 229 overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft, and he still managed 38 bench-press reps at the combine on one healthy leg, the most of any player regardless of position.
Career highlights
After sitting out his rookie season to recover from the ACL tear, Vorhees appeared in 15 games with three starts in 2024 before winning the full-time starting guard job in 2025. He also earned a $1.199 million performance-based pay bonus, more than he had made in salary combined over the first three years of his rookie contract.
2025 season recap
Vorhees started all 17 games at guard for Baltimore in 2025 as the team finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021. His pairing with fellow starting guard Daniel Faalele struggled, with both grading among the league's lowest-rated guards, and the Ravens' subsequent free-agent signing of John Simpson has clouded his path to remaining a starter.
