Anfernee Jennings built his career on relentless edge-setting and run defense, first at Alabama and then across six seasons in New England. After a deep 2025 playoff run that ended in the Super Bowl, the linebacker heads into a new chapter of his career.

Path to the league

Jennings spent five seasons at Alabama from 2015-19, winning national championships in 2015 and 2017 and earning First-Team All-SEC honors as a senior, finishing his college career with 193 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks. The New England Patriots drafted him 87th overall in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Jennings spent all six of his NFL seasons in New England, appearing in 75 games with 40 starts and recording 217 tackles, 27 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. His breakout came in 2023 when, fully healthy for the first time, he led the team with 14 tackles for loss and started the final 13 games of the season.

2025 season recap

Jennings played in 14 regular-season games with three starts in 2025, recording 19 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery and seven special-teams stops. He was a key contributor in New England's playoff run, posting 16 tackles and two sacks across four postseason games and adding six tackles and a tackle for loss in Super Bowl LX against Seattle.
