Anthony Goodlow

A defensive end who grew nearly eight inches in high school and turned a Tulsa-to-Oklahoma State transfer into an NFL practice squad career.

Anthony Goodlow is a defensive lineman now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, having grown from a 160-pound sophomore defensive back into a 6-foot-5, 300-pound edge rusher by the time he left high school. The Del City, Oklahoma native played five seasons at Tulsa before a final transfer year at Oklahoma State, and has since worked his way through three NFL practice squads.

Path to the league

Goodlow spent five seasons at Tulsa, growing into a team-leading pass rusher with six sacks in 2021, before transferring to Oklahoma State for his final season in 2023, where he recorded 42 tackles and earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors. He went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft and signed with the Los Angeles Rams.

Career highlights

Goodlow earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors at Tulsa in 2022 after posting 44 tackles and 8.0 tackles for loss, capping a college career that saw him develop from a raw high school prospect into a productive Power Five pass rusher. His combination of length and athleticism has kept him on NFL practice squads since going undrafted.

2025 season recap

After being waived by the Rams in 2024, Goodlow spent time on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad, making his NFL debut in Week 3 of 2025 against San Francisco with one tackle before being released in November. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed him to their practice squad on November 25, 2025, and inked him to a reserve/future contract on January 14, 2026.
