Arden Key is a veteran edge rusher out of LSU who signed with the Indianapolis Colts in March 2026 after a stint in Tennessee.
Arden Key built his reputation as a disruptive pass rusher at LSU before carving out a long NFL career as a rotational edge defender. After bouncing through Oakland, San Francisco, Jacksonville and Tennessee, the 6-foot-5 Key landed in Indianapolis in 2026. He profiles as a high-end rotational piece who can spell starters and generate pressure on passing downs.
Path to the league
At LSU, Key set a single-season school record with 12 sacks and earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2016 and 2017. He entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the Raiders in 2018. Across his career he has worked as a designated pass rusher for several contenders, including a stretch with the 49ers.
2025 season
Key spent the 2025 season with the Titans, appearing in 12 games with nine starts. Per ESPN's game log, he recorded four sacks, 22 tackles, six tackles for loss and 11 quarterback hits. The Colts signed him to a two-year, $20 million deal on March 12, 2026, with $11 million guaranteed.
