Micheal Clemons took a winding road to the NFL, starting at Cisco College before landing at Texas A&M, and he has built a career as a rotational edge rusher since the Jets drafted him in 2022. He now brings that pass-rush depth to the Indianapolis Colts' defensive line.
Path to the league
Clemons began his college career at Cisco College in 2016, recording 30 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in six games there. He transferred to Texas A&M in 2017, ultimately playing through the 2021 season with an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19 provisions. The New York Jets selected him in the fourth round, 117th overall, in the 2022 NFL Draft.
