Ben Skowronek has stuck in the NFL on special teams and as a blocking, depth receiver. He re-signed with Pittsburgh in 2025 and turned in his most recognized season, earning Pro Bowl honors. He caught the Steelers' first touchdown of the year in the opener.

Path to the league

Skowronek played college football at Northwestern before transferring to Notre Dame. The Rams drafted him in the seventh round in 2021, and he won a role as a physical, blocking-oriented receiver. After a brief trade to Houston in 2024, he landed in Pittsburgh, where his special teams value kept him on the roster.

2025 season

Skowronek re-signed with the Steelers on March 13, 2025. In the season opener against the Jets, he caught Pittsburgh's first touchdown of the year from Aaron Rodgers. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games and caught four of six targets for 69 yards and a touchdown, earning Pro Bowl honors for his special teams play.
