An undrafted slot cornerback out of Texas Tech who turned a Week 17 debut into a reserve/future contract with Cincinnati.

Bralyn Lux is a cornerback who spent nearly his entire rookie year on the Bengals' practice squad before finally getting his shot late in the 2025 season. The San Jose native transferred from Fresno State to Texas Tech for his final two college seasons and is now looking to carve out a role in Cincinnati's secondary as a second-year pro.

Path to the league

Lux played four seasons at Fresno State from 2019 to 2022 before transferring to Texas Tech, where he became the Red Raiders' top cornerback. In 21 games at Texas Tech, he recorded 67 tackles, 13 passes defensed, 3.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions, including a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown in 2024.

Career highlights

Lux signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in April 2025 after going unselected in the draft. He was waived in final roster cuts that August but immediately returned to Cincinnati's practice squad, keeping his rookie season alive.

2025 season recap

Lux spent most of the year on the Bengals' practice squad before earning elevations starting in Week 16. He made his official NFL debut in Week 17, playing 16 defensive snaps, mostly in the slot, and contributing on special teams. He signed a reserve/future contract with Cincinnati in January 2026.
