Cameron Ross took a winding path through college football, starting at UConn, stopping at James Madison, and finishing his career with a big senior season at Virginia. Now with the Broncos as an undrafted rookie, Ross brings return skills and yards-after-catch ability to a crowded receiver room.
Path to the league
Ross began his career at UConn in 2019, where injuries and the COVID-canceled 2020 season limited him to sporadic action through 2022. He transferred to James Madison for 2024 and then to Virginia for his final season in 2025 before going undrafted and signing with the Denver Broncos.
Career highlights
Ross flashed early as a UConn freshman with 60 receptions for 723 yards and four touchdowns in 2019. In his lone season at Virginia, Ross caught 53 passes for 543 yards and two touchdowns. He opened the year with a signature performance against Coastal Carolina, catching seven passes for 124 yards and a touchdown while also returning a kickoff 100 yards for a score.
