Troy Franklin is a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, drafted in 2024 to pair with his former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix. After a quiet rookie year, Franklin emerged as a legitimate downfield threat in 2025, becoming one of Denver's most productive pass catchers.

Path to the league

Franklin played three seasons at Oregon from 2021 to 2023, totaling 160 receptions for 2,483 yards and 25 touchdowns across 36 games. His 2023 season was a school-record-setting campaign with 81 catches, 1,383 yards, 14 touchdowns and eight 100-yard games, earning second-team All-American honors and a first-team All-Pac-12 selection. Denver traded up to select him in the fourth round, 102nd overall, in the 2024 NFL Draft, reuniting him with Nix, Denver's first-round pick that same year.

Career highlights

Franklin's rookie season in 2024 was limited, with 28 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdowns across 16 games. His first NFL touchdown came in Week 6 against the Chargers on a play connecting three former Oregon Ducks: center Alex Forsyth, quarterback Nix, and Franklin himself.

2025 season recap

Franklin broke out in his second NFL season, catching 65 passes for 709 yards and six touchdowns across 17 games, more than doubling his rookie production. He added two receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown across two playoff games as Denver made a postseason run.
