Caullin Lacy built his college résumé at South Alabama before a transfer to Louisville, where he paired steady slot production with elite work in the return game. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the Jets, betting his quickness and return ability can carve out a roster spot on special teams.
Path to the league
Lacy spent four seasons at South Alabama, capped by a 2023 campaign in which he caught 91 passes for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns, one of the most productive receiving seasons in the country that year. He transferred to Louisville for 2024 but battled a preseason injury that pushed him to a medical redshirt before returning to the field in 2025.

Across his college career Lacy totaled 252 receptions for roughly 3,000 yards and 14 touchdowns while also developing into one of the sport's better punt returners. He earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors in 2023 at South Alabama and third-team All-ACC recognition in 2025 at Louisville.
2025 season recap
In his only season at Louisville, Lacy played in all 13 games, starting 11, and caught 60 passes for 635 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the ACC in punt return average with two return touchdowns, work that earned him third-team all-conference honors as a return specialist. He went undrafted in April 2026 and signed with the Jets as a slot receiver and return man.
