Path to the league
Golston played at Iowa from 2016 to 2020, producing 129 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, seven pass breakups, three interceptions and a forced fumble over his college career. The Dallas Cowboys selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Golston appeared in 64 games with 16 starts across four seasons with Dallas from 2021 to 2024, totaling 135 tackles, 17 quarterback hits and 9.0 sacks.
