Chris Oladokun spent years as a depth quarterback grinding in Kansas City's shadow before finally getting on the field for meaningful snaps. The seventh-round pick turned practice squad fixture has quietly collected two Super Bowl rings while waiting for his opportunity.

Path to the league

Oladokun played quarterback at three colleges: South Florida, Samford and South Dakota State, where in his lone 2021 season he threw for 3,164 yards and 25 touchdowns while leading the Jackrabbits to an 11-4 record and a national semifinal appearance. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the seventh round, 241st overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he was released before joining Kansas City's practice squad that August.

Career highlights

Oladokun has been with the Chiefs organization since 2022, spending most of that time on the practice squad while earning Super Bowl rings from Kansas City's wins in Super Bowl LVII over Philadelphia and Super Bowl LVIII over San Francisco. He made his NFL debut in December 2024.

2025 season recap

Oladokun finally saw real playing time in 2025, appearing in three games and starting two, including a start against the Titans in which he completed 11 of 16 passes for 111 yards and added seven rushing yards. On the season he completed 13 of 22 passes for 235 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.
