Da'Shawn Hand came out of Nick Saban's Alabama program as one of the most decorated recruits of his class and has since built a long, well-traveled pro career across multiple stops. Now with Atlanta, Hand brings experience as a run-stopping defensive tackle who can also kick outside to end.

Path to the league

Hand played at Alabama from 2014 to 2017, appearing in 50 games and totaling 71 tackles and 10.0 sacks while winning national titles in 2015 and 2017. The Detroit Lions selected him in the fourth round (114th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Hand spent four seasons in Detroit, appearing in 29 games with 11 starts and recording 54 tackles, 3.0 sacks and three forced fumbles. He has since played for the Colts, Titans, Dolphins and Chargers, building a reputation as a reliable rotational defensive lineman capable of playing multiple spots along the line.
