A Nigerian-born defensive end who came to football through the NFL's International Player Pathway Program after being discovered on a basketball court.
David Ebuka Agoha's path to the Titans runs through Lagos, not a college football program. Discovered playing basketball in Nigeria and trained through Osi Umenyiora's Uprise camp, he entered the NFL through the International Player Pathway and has since worked his way from the Raiders' practice squad onto Tennessee's active roster.
Path to the league
Agoha did not come up through a traditional US college football program. He was identified through Osi Umenyiora's Uprise camp in Nigeria and entered the NFL in 2023 through the International Player Pathway Program, becoming one of six Nigerian players to join an NFL club that year.
Career highlights
Agoha spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, largely on the practice squad while occupying the team's international player exemption roster spot. He made two appearances for Las Vegas, including one start, and recorded three tackles across 16 defensive snaps.
2025 season recap
Agoha signed with the Tennessee Titans' practice squad on October 21, 2025, again filling the club's international player exemption spot, and signed a reserve/future contract with the team on January 5, 2026. He is now working to carve out a role as a rotational defensive end.
