Devin Cochran is an offensive tackle who has spent most of his pro career fighting for a spot on an NFL 53-man roster. After going undrafted out of Georgia Tech, he grinded through four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals before landing with the Lions, giving Detroit experienced depth on the offensive line.

Path to the league

Cochran began his college career at Vanderbilt, where he redshirted in 2016 and went on to start 32 games over four seasons. He transferred to Georgia Tech for his final year in 2021, starting all 12 games at left tackle and earning honorable mention All-ACC honors. Despite being viewed as a potential late-round pick, he went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Career highlights

Cochran spent three seasons largely on Cincinnati's practice squad before finally making his NFL regular-season debut in Week 9 of the 2024 season against Las Vegas. He was signed to the Bengals' active roster later that November. He was also named to the SEC academic honor roll during his time at Vanderbilt.

2025 season recap

The Bengals released Cochran in August 2025, and he signed with the Detroit Lions' practice squad that September. He has appeared in nine career NFL games with one start. On January 5, 2026, he signed a reserve/future contract with Detroit, keeping him in the mix for a roster spot heading into the new league year.
