Dominic Zvada came out of Chandler, Arizona as a five-star kicking recruit who once set the state record with a 55-yard field goal, then built a college career that spanned Arkansas State and Michigan. After going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft, he signed with the Giants and quickly emerged as the front-runner in New York's kicking competition.
Path to the league
Zvada starred at Valley Christian High School in Chandler, Arizona, setting a state record with a 55-yard field goal in 2020. He began his college career at Arkansas State, where he was named Freshman All-American, before transferring to Michigan ahead of the 2024 season under coach Sherrone Moore.
Career highlights
In his first season at Michigan in 2024, Zvada made 21 of 22 field goals for a program-record 95.5 percent conversion rate, including the game-winning kick against Ohio State, and was named Big Ten Kicker of the Year and a first-team All-American. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent.
2025 season recap
Zvada's senior season at Michigan was a step down statistically, as he made 17 of 25 field goals, though he still earned Walter Camp Preseason All-American recognition entering the year. After going undrafted, he impressed in Giants minicamp, going a perfect 13-for-13 to establish himself as the favorite in New York's kicking competition.
