Drake Nugent started for four years at Stanford before a graduate transfer to Michigan put him on a national championship team in his final college season. The Colorado native, son of former NFL quarterback Terry Nugent, has spent his pro career developing on San Francisco's practice squad as he chases a full-time NFL role.

Nugent played four seasons at Stanford from 2019-2022, starting 24 consecutive games at center over his final two years and earning Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll recognition twice. He transferred to Michigan for his final season in 2023, went undrafted in 2024, and signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent on April 27, 2024.
