Dylan McMahon earned a reputation at NC State as one of college football's highest-graded offensive linemen before the Eagles drafted him in 2024. After Philadelphia let him go, the Rams claimed him off their practice squad, and he has since developed into center depth in Los Angeles.
Path to the league
McMahon started 44 games across four seasons at NC State (2019-2023), playing right guard, center and left guard, and earned All-ACC Honorable Mention as a senior center in 2023. He was also voted a team captain and named to the East-West Shrine Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the sixth round with the 190th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
According to Pro Football Focus, McMahon earned more elite run-blocking grades than any other offensive lineman in his final NC State season. After Philadelphia waived him in 2024, the Los Angeles Rams signed him off the Eagles' practice squad, and he received informal mentorship pointers on playing center undersized, drawing comparisons to former Eagles center Jason Kelce.
2025 season recap
McMahon spent most of 2025 on the Rams' practice squad and inactive list, making his lone appearance and start at center in the team's Week 18 game against the Seahawks. He signed a reserve/futures contract with Los Angeles in January 2026.
