A former Falcons second-round corner who has reinvented himself as a versatile defensive back over eight NFL seasons.
Isaiah Oliver came into the league as a lengthy Colorado cornerback with first-team All-Pac-12 pedigree, and he's since carved out a career playing all over the secondary, from outside corner to nickel to safety. After stints in Atlanta, San Francisco and New York, he now brings that experience to Arizona.
Path to the league
Oliver started 16 of 32 games across three seasons at Colorado, racking up 82 tackles, three interceptions and 26 pass breakups while earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2017. The Atlanta Falcons drafted him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Oliver spent his first five seasons in Atlanta (2018-2022) before moving on to the San Francisco 49ers in 2023 and the New York Jets from 2024 to 2025. Across his career he has totaled more than 380 tackles, 42 pass deflections and 3 interceptions, evolving from an outside corner into a nickelback and safety as his role diversified.
2025 season recap
Oliver re-signed with the Jets for 2025 and started 7 of his appearances before his season ended early. He was playing safety for New York when he suffered a knee injury in Week 15 against Jacksonville, was placed on injured reserve in mid-December, and did not return to game action the rest of the year.
