Pacheco played college football at Rutgers before the Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the seventh round, 251st overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft, a pick that quickly looked like one of the steals of the class.

2025 season recap

Pacheco's 2025 season with Kansas City was cut short by injury. He rushed for 329 yards and a touchdown on 78 carries through the first eight games before suffering an MCL sprain that sidelined him for an extended stretch, continuing a pattern of injury setbacks after missing time with a fibula fracture the year before.
