A well-traveled Virginia Tech kicker whose massive leg has produced franchise records everywhere he has landed.
Joey Slye has kicked for seven different organizations since going undrafted in 2019, and his howitzer of a leg has left a trail of long-field-goal records along the way. He is now Tennessee's placekicker after re-signing with the Titans for the 2026 season.
Path to the league
Slye played his college football at Virginia Tech before going unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent to begin his professional career.
Career highlights
Slye has kicked for the Panthers, Texans, 49ers, Commanders, Jaguars and Patriots in addition to Tennessee, and he holds franchise records for longest field goal with both Washington (61 yards) and New England (63 yards, tied for fourth-longest in NFL history). For his career he has made 175 field goals and scored more than 700 points.
2025 season recap
Slye joined the Titans and set a franchise record by connecting on nine field goals of 50-plus yards during the 2025 season, showcasing the same big-leg range that has defined his career. He re-signed with Tennessee for 2026.
