Path to the league
Stout began his college career as a kickoff specialist at Virginia Tech before transferring to Penn State, where he became the first player since 1975 to handle punts, kickoffs and field goals for the Nittany Lions. As a redshirt senior in 2021, he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and the Eddleman-Fields Punter of the Year award, averaging 46.0 yards per punt. The Baltimore Ravens drafted him in the fourth round, 130th overall, in the 2022 NFL Draft.
