One of the most accurate kickers in NFL history, Ka'imi Fairbairn has spent his entire career turning field goals into a sure thing for Houston.

Ka'imi Fairbairn has been the Texans' kicker since 2017, building a resume of steady, high-percentage kicking that ranks among the best the position has ever produced. A Hawaii native and former UCLA star, he went from undrafted long shot to franchise cornerstone, and his 2025 season was the best of his career.

Path to the league

Fairbairn starred at UCLA from 2012 to 2015, winning the 2015 Lou Groza Award as the nation's top college kicker and earning consensus All-American honors. He set the Pac-12 record for career points scored and hit a 60-yard field goal against California in 2015, at the time the longest in FBS football since 2012. He went undrafted in 2016 and signed with the Houston Texans, spending his rookie year on injured reserve before winning the starting job in 2017.
