Kingsley Eguakun spent four years anchoring Florida's offensive line before going undrafted in 2024. After two seasons on Detroit's roster and practice squad, the Browns signed him at the end of the 2025 calendar year, giving him a fresh shot to compete for snaps in the middle of Cleveland's line.
Path to the league
Eguakun played center for Florida from 2019 through 2023, redshirting as a freshman before becoming the Gators' full-time starter in 2021 and 2022, when he started all 13 games in each season. An ankle injury limited him to four games in his final year. He went undrafted in 2024 but earned invitations to both the East-West Shrine Bowl and the Senior Bowl, and measured in at 6-foot-3 and 304 pounds before signing with Detroit as a free agent.
Career highlights
Eguakun's biggest college moments came as Florida's starting center across the 2021 and 2022 seasons, when he anchored the Gators' offensive front for 26 combined starts. In the NFL, he earned his first career starts at center for Detroit late in the 2024 season during Weeks 16 and 17.
2025 season recap
Eguakun spent most of 2025 with the Lions, appearing in four games with two starts at center. The Browns signed him off Detroit's practice squad on December 31, 2025, adding him to their offensive line depth as the 2025 season wound down.
