Kiran Amegadjie

Offensive Tackle · Yale

The highest Yale player drafted since 1982, Kiran Amegadjie is a Chicago-area native trying to establish himself on the Bears' offensive line after an injury-slowed start to his career.

Kiran Amegadjie is a developmental offensive tackle who parlayed a dominant, injury-shortened final season at Yale into a third-round selection by his hometown Bears. He has worked in a depth and rotational role behind Chicago's starting tackles through his first two seasons.

First-team All-Ivy League, Yale, 2022
First-team FCS All-American, Yale, 2023
Third-round pick, 2024 NFL Draft (No. 75 overall); highest Yale draft pick since 1982

Path to the league

Amegadjie played at Yale from 2021 to 2023 after his freshman season was canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic. He started all 10 games at left tackle in 2022 and earned first-team All-Ivy League honors, then was named a first-team FCS All-American in 2023 despite a season-ending injury limiting him to four games. The Bears selected him in the third round, 75th overall, of the 2024 NFL Draft, making him the highest Yale player drafted since 1982.

Career highlights

Amegadjie allowed just one sack and 26 total pressures across 1,595 career snaps at Yale, numbers that made him one of the more efficient pass protectors in the 2024 draft class despite coming from the FCS ranks. He has spent his rookie seasons developing behind Chicago's veteran offensive tackles while working to earn a starting role.

2025 season recap

Amegadjie appeared in six games with one start for the Bears in 2025, continuing to work as a depth tackle while recovering the durability that was interrupted by injuries in college.
