Oregon State safety who overcame a broken combine toe to become an emergency starter in Green Bay's injury-riddled secondary.

Kitan Oladapo spent six years at Oregon State before Green Bay drafted him in the fifth round in 2024. A trying rookie year slowed by a combine injury gave way to a second season in which he was thrust into first-team reps as the Packers' safety room dealt with a string of injuries.

Path to the league

Oladapo redshirted in 2018 and played sparingly for two years before becoming a three-year starter at Oregon State, finishing with 222 tackles, 13 for loss, four and a half sacks, three interceptions and 23 passes broken up across his final three seasons. He earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2022. The Packers took him in the fifth round (No. 169 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Oladapo arrived in Green Bay coming off surgery for a toe he broke at the scouting combine, which limited him to nine games as a rookie in 2024, where he recorded four tackles on defense and three on special teams. His combine testing still showed off his athletic upside, with a 4.58-second 40 and a 36-inch vertical jump.

2025 season recap

With injuries hitting Green Bay's safety room in 2025, including starter Xavier McKinney, Oladapo was pressed into first-team reps and started multiple games down the stretch. He earned a 57.1 PFF defensive grade on the season and contributed as a run-support tackler in an increased role compared to his rookie year.
