Path to the league
A native of Montvale, New Jersey, Wypler played tackle in high school before transitioning to center at Ohio State, where he became the starter in 2021 and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors as a two-year starter. The Cleveland Browns selected him with the 190th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, making him the second Buckeye the team took in that draft class after tackle Dawand Jones.

He played 271 offensive snaps on the year, earning his first career start in Week 7 against Miami, and posted a respectable 74.0 PFF pass-blocking grade while allowing just five total pressures in pass protection.
