Marcus Bryant spent four seasons protecting quarterbacks at SMU before transferring to Missouri for a final season as the Tigers' starting left tackle. The 6-foot-7 lineman was a seventh-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2025 and spent his rookie year developing behind the Patriots' offensive line depth chart.

Path to the league

Bryant played four seasons at SMU from 2020 to 2023, starting 29 of 42 games and helping the Mustangs win the AAC Championship in 2023, a season in which he allowed just one sack. He transferred to Missouri for 2024, starting all 13 games at left tackle. The New England Patriots selected him in the seventh round, 220th overall, of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Bryant earned first-team All-AAC and second-team All-Texas honors following his 2023 season at SMU, and he helped Missouri to a 10-win season and a Music City Bowl victory in his lone year with the Tigers.

2025 season recap

As a rookie, Bryant appeared in 12 games for New England but saw offensive snaps in only a handful of them, spending much of the season developing as part of the Patriots' tackle depth.
