Matt Orzech has carved out a seven-year NFL career on the strength of one skill executed with near-total consistency. Now with the Green Bay Packers, the San Diego native has snapped for five different franchises and hasn't missed a beat since breaking into the league as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
Path to the league
Orzech played at Division II Azusa Pacific from 2013 to 2018, seeing time at both tight end and long snapper. He missed a full season to injury and then a chunk of another, but returned for a strong senior year that included eight catches for 139 yards. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2019 before beginning his NFL snapping career with the Jacksonville Jaguars that same year.
Career highlights
Orzech has played long snapper for the Jaguars, Dolphins, Titans, Rams and Packers. His run with the Los Angeles Rams culminated in a Super Bowl LVI championship, making him the first Azusa Pacific alum to ever appear in a Super Bowl. He joined Green Bay in 2023 and has handled every snapping duty for the Packers since, appearing in all 34 regular-season games plus three playoff contests across two seasons.

Orzech remained Green Bay's steady hand on special teams throughout 2025, continuing his streak as the club's every-down long snapper on field goals, extra points and punts. His error-free operation has made him one of the more anonymous but dependable figures on the Packers' roster.
