Mike Brown has never been a household name, but the former Miami (OH) safety has made a career out of being reliable in the game's third phase. Since going undrafted in 2022, he has played for the Vikings, Packers, Browns and Titans before landing with a new club.

Path to the league

Brown played college football at Miami University in Ohio before signing with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He has since worked his way through several NFL rosters, valued primarily for his special-teams versatility rather than a starting defensive role.

Across stops with Minnesota, Green Bay, Cleveland and Tennessee, Brown has appeared in 38 career games with five starts, totaling 45 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 15 special-teams tackles. He has consistently been used across multiple coverage and protection units, including as a personal protector on punt units.

2025 season recap

Playing for the Tennessee Titans in 2025, Brown appeared in nine games while dealing with two separate injured-reserve stints for knee and ankle injuries. He finished with just three tackles but played a heavy special-teams workload when healthy, logging 76.1 percent of special-teams snaps in games he played.
