Minkah Fitzpatrick

Safety · Alabama

Three-time first-team All-Pro safety now in New York after a 2025 trade ended his Steelers tenure.

Minkah Fitzpatrick spent six seasons in Pittsburgh as one of the league's best safeties. Three first-team All-Pros, four Pro Bowls, the rare safety who shifted defensive game plans. He was traded to the Jets in March 2025 in exchange for Jets safety Tony Adams and a 2026 second-round pick.

2017 CFP National Champion (Alabama)

Path to the league

Alabama national champion taken 11th overall by the Dolphins in 2018. Traded to Pittsburgh in September 2019 in one of the most lopsided trades of the decade (Pittsburgh sent a first-rounder, Miami took it and built a roster around it; Fitzpatrick made All-Pro that same year).

Career highlights

3x First-team All-Pro (2019, 2020, 2022). 4x Pro Bowl. 2019 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year runner-up. 25+ career interceptions. Most career multi-INT games among active safeties.

2025 season recap

2 INTs, 88 tackles, 9 pass breakups. The Jets went 4-13 and traded Sauce Gardner midseason. Fitzpatrick's contract runs through 2026; the team's defensive rebuild is being built around him for the long term.
