Nik Constantinou

An Australian-born punter who took the scenic route through the CFL before landing with the Browns.

Nik Constantinou grew up in Melbourne, Australia before becoming a two-time All-SEC punter at Texas A&M. After going undrafted in 2024 and spending two seasons booming punts in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, he signed a reserve/futures deal with Cleveland in January 2026 to get another shot at the NFL.

Path to the league

Constantinou attended Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School in Melbourne before coming to the United States to play college football at Texas A&M, where he took over the starting punter job in his second season. He went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft and signed with the Denver Broncos, but was waived that May.

Career highlights

At Texas A&M, Constantinou earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2021 and second-team All-SEC in 2022, averaging 41.7 yards per punt that season. After his Broncos release, he was drafted fifth overall in the 2024 CFL Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and spent two seasons north of the border averaging 47.6 yards per punt with a long of 84 yards over 36 games.

2025 season recap

Constantinou played his final CFL season with Hamilton in 2025, improving his punting average by nearly a full yard from the year before. That performance was enough to catch Cleveland's attention, and the Browns signed him to a reserve/futures contract in January 2026 to compete for the punting job.
